Just like clockwork

An electrician repairs the Mosgiel clock on Monday.

A Dunedin City Council spokesman said the clock needed to be repaired as it had “malfunctioned”.

“The clock was a Rotary gift to the Mosgiel community but has been maintained when needed by the council as part of its services to the area.”

The $23,000 German clock in Anzac Park has been plagued with problems since it was installed in 2013 including overstating temperatures and failing to automatically update to daylight-saving time.
