Otago Community Hospice provides Specialist Palliative Care to the population of Otago.
We welcome applications from social workers with experience in assisting patients whanau and families to access appropriate social and financial services.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, resilient and want to work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a progressive health environment. This is incredibly rewarding work, and the role forms part of our vibrant and dedicated team.
Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand, hold a professional Social Worker qualification and be registered with Social Worker Registration Board (SWRB). Assessment, critical thinking, liaison and co-ordination skills are pivotal to this role. Experience in caring for people with a life limiting illness would be advantageous. Ongoing training and education will be offered to you to achieve our goal of meeting the needs of every palliative care patient in Otago.
