After touring around Canada, Ireland, Germany and Australia, guitarist Jordan Brodie is finally coming to New Zealand this month.
Brodie is an award-winning finger-style guitarist from Australia, who is touring New Zealand and Tasmania in support of his latest album, Riff Raff, released earlier this year.
The tour reaches Dunedin this Sunday, March 15, when Brodie will perform at Dunedin Folk Club, 50 Dundas St, from 7.30pm.
Described as showcasing Brodie’s “fun, cheekier side with catchy, groove-based tunes”, Riff Raff draws inspiration from Tommy Emmanuel, Emil Ernebro, Michael Fix, and Joe Robinson.
Brodie is known to dazzle audiences with his finger-style guitar technique, playing the bass, rhythm and melody simultaneously.
Highlights of Brodie’s career so far include performances at Tanks Arts Centre (Cairns), Newport Fiddle and Folk Festival (Melbourne), Lions Bay House Concert (Vancouver), CastleHacket House (Galway), and with Michael Fix in Germany.
Tickets available at the door $15 public and $10 members.
