Plenty for community at Cavy Night Market

The annual Cavy Night Market returns this Saturday.
The Caversham community event, held at the Caversham Reserve in Station Rd, would have a ‘‘variety’’ of stalls, market co-ordinator Trudy Scott said. The evening market would sell items from home decor to soap and candles, to produce and porcelain dolls, and it was hoped a large crowd would be attracted, especially after last year’s rainy event, Caversham 9012 community group member Noora Frantz said. The event would also include pony rides, bubbles and a stall from Carisbrook School’s young enterprise group. Mrs Scott said the event aimed to gather the community together. The organisers had done a survey after last year’s event and the feedback was for more frequent markets, but Ms Frantz said it was too difficult to organise and run the event more than once a year. ★ The Cavy Night Market will run from 4pm to 6pm at the Caversham Reserve (opposite Carisbrook School) on Saturday .
