A section of a Dunedin City Council meeting allocated to deciding on a site to build a new pool in Mosgiel has been postponed.

Dunedin city councillors were scheduled to vote on adopting a recommended site for the Taieri Aquatic Centre at a meeting on Tuesday, July 30.

The recommended site is at the south end of Memorial Park, on the car park, near the grandstand.

Council city services general manager Sandy Graham said councillors had requested additional information, delaying the site selection report.

The additional information relates to Reserves Act issues, resident consultation and previous decisions of the Infrastructure Services and Networks Committee around a preferred site, Ms Graham said.

“It is hoped a revised report can be discussed at the council meeting on Tuesday, August 27.”
