One year after moving to a light and airy new space in the South Dunedin mall, SuperGrans is set to celebrate with a Birthday Bash and fundraiser this weekend.
SuperGrans Dunedin manager Pip Weber said the past year had been a time of settling in, consolidation, and planning for the future.
“Since we made the move here to South Dunedin mall, we are definitely more visible to the public,” Ms Weber said.
“However, we are still very keen to encourage more people to use our space.”
The number of “grans” continues to rise, and 32 volunteers are on the books.
Founded 17 years ago, SuperGrans Dunedin continues to work to support young families by matching them with older volunteers with skills and life experience to share.
The SuperGrans Birthday Bash will be held this Saturday, February 22, from 7.30pm at Forbury Park Bowling Club, 101 Victoria Rd.
The event will feature live music and a fundraising auction.
