The annual Blueskin Bay Show will return to Bland Park, in Waitati, this weekend with something a little different.

Along with the usual events of games, car boot sales, food stalls and more, this year the show is also getting behind all things related to renewable energy.

Show committee member and Waikouaiti Coast Community Board chairman Alasdair Morrison said there would be plenty of electric cars and bikes for people to see.

“I really want to promote how cool these bikes and cars are,” he said.

great day out where all the community could come together to see ” Blueskin on show”.

The show will be held at Bland Park, land that was given to the community in the 1990s.

Originally an A&P show, over the years it had become more of a country fair, Mr Morrison said.

Mandy Mayhem, also a show committee member, said she was looking forward to running the games, which would be for all ages, she said.

Gates would open at 8am for exhibitors and from 10am-4pm for the public.
