A call has gone out for motorists to take their “tops off” for a fundraiser on the Taieri.
The Rotary Club of Taieri communications director Yvonne Cunningham said the club was inviting motorists to participate in a “tops off” charity run.
The coastal run encouraged motorists in convertibles to go on the run with the roof, or top, retracted or removed.
People driving cars with fixed roofs could travel on the run with the windows down.
This run would depart from the Peter Johnstone Park car park in Mosgiel about 10am on Sunday.
The coastal run, on sealed roads, would take about four hours.
At the final stop in Gladfield, afternoon tea and refreshments would be served and participants would be able to test their driving skills and win prizes.
The run costs $30 per car and will raise money for the the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
