More than a thousand car fans visited the Edgar Centre in Dunedin last Saturday to check out some impressive machines at the 2017 Holden Nationals.
Dunedin couple Merv and Rochell Fox impressed fellow Holden enthusiasts sufficiently to win the entrants’ choice award for their green 1978 LH Torana SS Replica.
Oamaru man Warren Black won the people’s choice award decided by the votes of members of the public for his sleek black 1972 HQ Monaro LS.
Holden Enthusiasts Club of Otago organised the event which was the first held in Dunedin for 20 years. A total of 73 cars were entered. Of those, 67 were entered in the competition to be judged. There were also about 25 display cars from other local, non-club owners and a selection of new vehicles on display from Cooke Howlison Holden.
