Mozart and Beethoven’s music demystified

The music in the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra’s 2020 season will be “unwrapped” for prospective audiences next week.

Prof Anthony Ritchie, head of the University of Otago School of Performing Arts and a renowned New Zealand composer will do the honours in during an hour-long “Unwrap the Music” session next Thursday, March 5, from 7pm at Hanover Hall.

In the illustrated talk, Prof Ritchie will explore and demystify the music to be played this year, including works by Mozart, Beethoven, Stravinsky, and New Zealand composers.

The evening will finish with a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.
